Northern California PET Imaging Center Appoints Bradley Schmidt as Chief Executive Officer

Northern California PET Imaging Center, a global leader in precision cancer imaging using PET/CT Technology, announced the appointment of Bradley Schmidt as Chief Executive Officer.

A nationally recognized leader in radiology and nuclear medicine, Schmidt comes to NCPIC from Inglewood Imaging Center where, as founder and CEO, he established advanced cancer and body imaging access points for LA county patients.

During his tenure at Inglewood Imaging Center (IIC), Mr. Schmidt was named Medical Group CEO of the Year and IIC was awarded Healthcare Company of the Year for three consecutive years, by the Los Angeles Business Journal.

In his new role with NCPIC, Mr. Schmidt will focus on expanding collaborations, supporting oncology modernization, and developing partnerships for NCPIC. He currently serves as a guest health lecturer for the University of Southern California and was recognized as an Innovator in Healthcare winner in 2020 by Adaptive Business Leaders.

NCPIC is a regional oncology and neurology expert with recognition globally for its efforts in delivering precision medicine to support patients and physicians in Northern California. The organization pioneered the application of Positron Emission Tomography (PET) imaging being the first freestanding outpatient oncology imaging center in the USA.

PET imaging is recognized by the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) as a critical element in cancer treatment accuracy while boosting patient survival.

Based in Sacramento, Calif., Northern California PET Imaging Center was established in 1992 as a not-for-profit community benefit organization. The organization, designed to provide the local community with the most advanced molecular imaging technologies available, is ACR Accredited which is recognized as “the gold standard in medical imaging.”

In addition to providing clinical PET/CT imaging services, NCPIC is involved in clinical research supporting the use of PET imaging in certain areas of cancer, dementia, and stroke for new indications and with new radiopharmaceuticals.

Mr. Schmidt comes to PET Imaging Center equipped with unparalleled industry expertise, drawing on early-career experience at an international conglomerate and success in building and selling independent healthcare facilities.

Before becoming CEO of Inglewood Imaging Center, Mr. Schmidt was the Founder and President of Bella Radiology. He rose to the highest level of his profession as an Account Manager at CTI Molecular Imaging and Siemens Medical Solutions.
