Transparent PET/CT Pricing
Our mission is simple: better care, lower costs, innovation and a positive exam experience.
Why Our Pricing Matters
As an independent, mission-driven nonprofit, NCPIC is committed to making advanced imaging more accessible and affordable – without compromising quality.
We focus on:
- Expanding access for patients.
- Delivering a top-tier patient experience, with over 95% of patients recommending NCPIC.
- Investing in the latest PET/CT technology.
- Supporting value-based care teams and patients with high-cost insurance plans
At NCPIC, every dollar goes back into improving patient care.
Expected Charges & Discounted Bundle Rates
A chargemaster is a detailed list of medical services and procedures provided by a facility, along with their standard list prices before any insurance or self-pay discounts are applied.
It includes:
- CPT® codes for PET/CT procedures
- Service descriptions
- Gross charges (not typically the amount a patient pays)
Important Note:
Chargemaster prices do not reflect what most patients actually pay. Your out-of-pocket cost is often much lower due to Medicare, commercial insurance, or our reduced-cost contact programs. Many patients save up to 80%, especially those with high-deductible plans.
Who We Are & Why Transparency Matters
Northern California PET Imaging Center (NCPIC) operates as a Medicare-certified Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility (IDTF) under 42 CFR § 410.33, adhering to federal performance, supervision, and billing standards. While IDTFs are not subject to the CMS Hospital Price Transparency Final Rule (45 CFR § 180), we voluntarily publish our PET/CT Chargemaster to support transparency. We believe patients deserve clear, fair pricing to help make informed choices.
